Associate Prof Peter Nottle is the past Director of Upper GI Surgery at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. His major areas of interest are Bariatric Surgery, Upper GI Cancers, Hiatus Hernia and Anti-Reflux surgery. He has been performing Bariatric Surgery for more than 30 years and Laparoscopic Gastric bands for past 15 years as well as a full range of other bariatric procedures. He is one of Australia's pioneers in Laparoscopic Surgery having introduced the French technique of Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy at The Alfred hospital in the early 1990's.
